A fresh twist on the classic tile-matching formula, 3D Mahjong elevates traditional Mahjong Solitaire into a dynamic three-dimensional space. Rotate the board, scan each layer, and clear matching tiles before the clock runs out! Created by bram1234 and originally released in 2009, this Flash-based puzzler challenges your spatial thinking with a sleek, rotating playfield that adds depth—literally—to your strategy.

How to play 3D Mahjong

Mastering 3D Mahjong is all about perception, precision, and pattern recognition. This is not your grandma’s Mahjong—it’s Mahjong with a new dimension!

Objective

Your goal is to match and remove all the tiles from the board. Only non-enclosed tiles (those with at least one side free and not covered by another tile) can be selected. Clear the entire board before time runs out.

Controls

  • Desktop (Flash Emulation): Mouse: Click to select and match tiles. Arrow keys / Drag Mouse: Rotate the 3D board to get a better angle.
  • Mobile Devices: Due to Flash limitations, this game is best played on desktop with Ruffle support or Flash emulation tools. Currently, mobile play is moderately supported.

Tips for Success

  1. Start by removing tiles from the top layers to free up lower levels.
  2. Rotate the board frequently to spot hidden matches.
  3. Prioritize pairs that free up more tiles.
  4. Keep an eye on the timer—this is a score-attack challenge!

FAQ

How do I rotate the 3D board?

Use arrow keys or drag with your mouse to rotate the structure and reveal hidden tiles.

Are all tiles visible at the start?

No, many tiles are partially or fully hidden behind others. You’ll need to rotate the board to get the full picture.

Why can’t I select some tiles?

Only tiles that are not blocked on both sides and are not covered by another tile are eligible for selection.

Is there a scoring system?

Yes! The faster you clear the board, the higher your score. It’s a race against time, so efficiency matters.

Do I need to download anything?

No downloads required. Just launch the game in a supported browser with Flash emulation.
