Cursed Treasure 2 is the devilishly fun sequel to the beloved Flash tower defense game where you, once again, play the villain. The noble heroes are back—bolder, stronger, and led by a greedy king obsessed with your magical gems. But this time, your defenses are meaner too! With revamped mechanics, enhanced visuals, a refined tower system, and loads of dark humor, this 2013 installment builds beautifully on everything fans loved about the original. Gather your evil forces, and get ready for one hell of a defense!

How to play Cursed Treasure 2

Objective

Your sacred gems are under siege by the forces of good—knights, archers, ninjas, and worse. Your goal is to prevent them from stealing these gems from your cave. If even one gem remains when the wave ends, you win. For a “Brilliant” victory, none can be touched!

Controls & Compatibility

The game is Flash-based and can be played on desktop through emulation tools like Ruffle or a standalone Flash Player. Use the mouse to interact with the map, place towers, and activate spells. Hotkeys:

  • P – Pause
  • T – Send next wave
  • Hold SHIFT – Build or cast repeatedly

Tower Types & Placement Rules

Each tower belongs to a faction—Orcs, Undead, or Demons—and must be built on specific tile types:

  • Den (Orc – Grass Tiles): Quick-firing with moderate damage. Great early game tower.
    “Victory or Death!”
  • Crypt (Undead – Snow Tiles): Shoots charged bolts with a wide range and heavy damage. Best for long lanes.
    “More bio-electricity than a 120-volt battery!”
  • Temple (Demon – Rock Tiles): Deals AoE fire damage. Slower but devastating.
    “Feel the burn!”

Note: You cannot build on forest tiles—unless you burn them down later via upgrades or spells.

Resource Management

Destroy enemies to collect coins. These are used to build and upgrade towers. Thanks to version 1.3.0+, coins are now auto-collected between waves, so you can focus more on strategy.

Upgrades & Experience

Towers earn XP through kills. When enough XP is earned, an “UP” icon appears. Click the tower and select the desired upgrade path. Each tower can evolve into several powerful forms depending on its faction. A fully upgraded tower becomes a game-changer!

Waves & Enemies

Enemies come in waves, each progressively harder. Hover over wave indicators to view enemy types. Expect flying, invisible, and underwater units as you progress. Some enemies steal gems and run fast—others have high HP and resist magic.

Spells & Skills

Gain mana over time to cast spells like Meteor, Terror, and Cut Trees. These can decimate groups, scare enemies into retreat, or open up new building areas. Between levels, use Skill Points to unlock passive bonuses or empower specific tower types.

New Features in v1.3.2

  • Underwater and invisible enemies now affected by area damage
  • Fast speed toggle (no need to hold)
  • Coins auto-collect before next wave
  • Better enemy HP scaling and tower balance
  • Improved Crypt behavior (no more stuck charges!)

FAQ

Is Cursed Treasure 2 free to play?

Yes! The game is completely free and can be played on platforms like PEXY.IO and Newgrounds via Flash emulation.

Can I play it without Flash?

Modern browsers block Flash, but tools like Ruffle let you play seamlessly without installing old plugins.

What’s different in Cursed Treasure 2 compared to the first game?

Improved graphics, better-balanced gameplay, more enemy types, auto coin collection, skill tree enhancements, and tons of quality-of-life features.

How do I unlock all tower types?

You begin with access to all three basic towers, but some upgrades and advanced forms require investing in the skill tree between missions.

Can I move or sell a tower once placed?

No. Choose tower placement carefully! You cannot move or sell once it’s placed—but upgrades are always available.

Are there difficulty settings?

There’s no toggleable difficulty, but levels ramp up significantly and require thoughtful strategy later in the game.

Why can’t I build on some tiles?

Each tower can only be built on its matching terrain: grass for Den, snow for Crypt, rock for Temple. Forests are blocked unless cleared with spells.

How do spells work?

Spells require mana, which regenerates over time. Some spells like Meteor deal heavy damage; others like Cut Trees expand your build zones.

Can enemies go invisible or underwater?

Yes, and in later patches, even these enemies can be hit by area-of-effect attacks.

Is there a skill tree?

Yes! Between missions, you earn skill points to upgrade spells, tower stats, mana regeneration, and more.
